Went to one of Grandview's affiliated doctors office Lederach Family Practice. However didn't see a doctor. What we did encounter was a incompetent Nurse or Physician Assistant.By the way if you're going to a doctor's office you might as well see a doctor not someone less educated.I found that out the long and hard way. I am only writing this review to warn others of my nightmare that started when I made the mistake of letting Shannon Ramono diagnose me. Then after she realized her mistake she contacted child services. (Trying to discredit me) Well none of the lies worked. Chid services did their investigation and now know they were lied to.And we have them on recording stating this. I would recommend that you Stay Away from Granview or any of it's Affiliated doctor's offices.

I was falling into the river and got my leg cut. On my way home I went to GVH ER and got my wound treated. The doctor washed my wound and said it was clean. After four stiches, I was discharged without given antibiotics at about 10pm. The second morning around 10 am, my leg was swollen and got high fever. So I went back to ER, the doctor said the wound got infected. They took off the stiches and let it open to let liquid out, also run ECG, and took Xray on my leg to see if there were foreign objects in my wound. After these procedures, they claim that my wound was clean and no foreign object in my wound. I was prescribed antibiotics and discharged. In over two months, my wound still had liquid came out while I cleaned my wound. Until recently I saw some white tip in my wound. I squeezed the wound and used tweezers pulled out a foreign object more than 1cm long and about 4mm wide out of my wound. I called patient relation department and complained about this. The lady from patient relationship department called me back and asked about my complaint and told me I would get a response in ten days. But after 14 days, I did not get response and I called them and left a message again. Then I got a call back from a nurse, she told me when I was discharged my wound was clean. She argued that she did not know what happened in my wound after this long time. I said I took care of my wound every day, there was no possibility for anything get into my wound after I was discharged. She kept saying the hospital had no responsibility for this. I felt I was so vulnerable and could not do anything. I said to her this hospital is an irresponsible hospital, she replied: Okay.

We've been here on a few occasions, to the ER a couple of times, overnight in pediatrics once, and just this week in Labor & Delivery/Postpartum and overall have had good experiences. We have never had an excessively long wait time in the ER, although I will say it is definitely the least efficient part of the hospital. Everyone in Peds, L&D and PP were wonderful, doting and helpful.

I would not suggest going to this hospital especially the ER. Not just because of the professional skills, and also the way they response to the patient’s complaint.

Our experience in the Postpartum was especially pleasant, with every doctor and nurse we saw being excellent. The facilities are very nice and clean as well.

So can you trust the nurse here? I will never go to this hospital again.

My ONLY complaint is that I wish the coffee and food were better, but complaining about hospital food seems like a low blow.

Please do not go to Grandview Hospital if you are using an insulin pump. They readily admit there is no one there who knows anything about it. Nor do they understand long acting insulin as a basal and short acting insulin as a dose for meal carbs and corrections. If you dose by counting carbs you are out of luck. I was there for 4 days while they tried to find an infection and get my levels under control after a bout of DKA. I went really low one night because no one explained a mid acting insulin given late i the day. If I had not eaten a snack before I went to bed I would not be writing this post. They used a sliding scale, for meals only, that I had never heard of and it is a very old system of handling diabetics. My blood pressure went so low during all of this that I developed an irregular heartbeat and spent 2 days on a heart monitor-nothing found. If you use an endocrinologist in this hospital's area please tell them about how they handle this protocol. It will be worth the trip to Lehigh Valley Hospital where they use regular everyday protocols. In case you can not hear frustration in this post, it's been 3 days home and I am still shaking and scared of what may have happened during the night.

My husband was treated at Grand View ER recently on a weekend. He was brought into a room almost immediately. Everyone we interacted with was so nice. The physician came right in and he actually sat with us in the room and explained my husband's condition...I don't even get that kind of treatment at my PCP! We knew how long the testing would take, our nurse was always checking on him and we left with every question answered. Thank You Grand View ER - your ER team was awesome and we thank you!!!
